Acton Energy is a European independent power producer for grid-scale battery storage, based near Munich. We were founded to build storage infrastructure and to operate it for the long term.

Mission

A power system that is secure, affordable and renewable.

We believe those three qualities belong together. Wind and solar already deliver the energy. What they lack is reliability by the hour.

Storage closes that gap. Batteries absorb surplus when generation is strong and give it back when demand peaks. They turn variable production into dependable supply.

Acton builds and operates that flexibility infrastructure. We act with an owner's mentality and a long horizon: we develop, we build, we keep and we optimize what we own.

15+ years leading and scaling digital and industrial businesses. Former CEO of klarx, with deep experience in fundraising, growth and operational execution.

Marvin Röben

10+ years in business strategy with in-depth energy market experience and a track record of leading complex IT and business projects to completion.

VP Origination & Commercial

Miriam Janke

8+ years as an entrepreneur in deep tech and real estate. A strong product background, applied to end-to-end project development.

Milestones

Where we stand and where we are going.

January 2025 Acton Energy Holding GmbH founded in Schäftlarn near Munich.
2025 Exclusive framework agreements signed with established German project developers.
2026 Lauta (40 MW) and Plettenberg (30 MW) in realization. Six proprietary development projects totalling 960 MW in progress.
2029 Target: more than 1 GW in operation.

We keep what we build and we carry the responsibility that comes with it. There is no exit plan, because the plan is to stay.

Numbers before adjectives. Every figure we publish has a source and we would rather state less than claim more.

Endurance

Infrastructure is a decades-long business. We make decisions that still have to be right in 2045 and we act accordingly.
